Exploring Beyond Neighborhood with Toddler - Stroller/Car Seat Advice Needed!

Baby is almost one year old and live in (upper) Manhattan. We have an Uppababy Vista and Doona, but now thinking I should sell the Doona and get an Uppababy Minu V3. How do you all get around? Use the travel strollers + carrier + diaper bag? Does everyone with a toddler have to use the subway (because you’d just be lugging around a separate car seat)? Might sound like a stupid question, but I didn’t realize that car seats after the infant age don’t lock into strollers. Pre-child, I’m used to having the emergency ability to take an uber if I’m late going somewhere or the subways are wonky or if I’m having a cramp or something. Is that now totally gone? What do you bring with you when you go places that are not walkable? When you travel, do you bring a travel stroller + separate car seat? submitted by /u/Wise_Regular_8792 [link] [comments]
