People who leave notes, expecting others to not park in a shoveled out spot, are ridiculous.
I cannot emphasize the ridiculousness and entitlement of this. This is a city. People come and go at all hours of the day. When it snows, you are not entitled to a free spot on the street. If you want somewhere to reliably park your car, which is a luxury to have in this city, pay for a garage. I shovel out my car and certainly don’t expect the spot to remain there for me. I’m not special. And, if you can afford a car and hate shoveling it out, you can likely splurge just a tad to pay a neighborhood kid or Good Samaritan to shovel it out for you. Some of these notes are so aggressive and as a native New Yorker they baffle me. Edit: I also use my car near daily so I understand it sucks parking in the snow. But…that’s just how street parking works. submitted by /u/silly-moth [link] [comments]
